They are trying to sell their building out from under them. \nTrinity United Methodist is holding an All Church Conference on Sunday\, November 26th immediately following 10:30am worship. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the: WEELAUNEE WORLDWID\nE: BLOCK COP CITY SPEAKING TOUR\n\nWhen: Friday Oct. 6th from 7:30 – 9:30 \nWhere: Art House Cinema\, Eugene\, OR (492 E 13th Ave)\n\nThe proposed Atlanta Public Safety Training Center\, known as Cop City\, is a plan to build the largest police training facility in the United States. The project threatens ove\nr 300 acres of the South River Forest\, also known by its Muskogee name\, Weelaunee. The proposed facility includes a mock city for police to train in urban warfare and protest control tactics. The South River Forest\, which is surrounded by primarily Black neighborhoods\, has been described by environmental groups as Atlanta’s “best hope for resilience against the worst impacts of climate change.”\n\nDefend the Atlanta Forest activists are touring the continent in an expansive 70-city speaking tour\, with the goal of sharing strategic information from on the ground in Atlanta and preparing hundreds of affinity groups to shut down construction operations at the site through non violent direct action. Each presentation will contain information about the history of the land the city is attempting to build Cop City on\, a movement timeline\, and collaboration in the next phase of the movement: Block Cop City. There will also be a Q+A portion and legal updates from the Civil Liberties Defense Center (CLDC).\n  \nMore info at blockcopcity.org\n\nThis event is part of a larger Forest Friday event at the Eugene Environmental Film Festival. DESCRIPTION:The Solidarity Share Fair is returning in August with a large in-person outdoor event! \nThe purpose of the Share Fair is to connect people with resources\, services\, and each other in a convenient and fun way. The fair will be providing free resources and services from local organizations and community groups to unhoused and working class members of the community.
