SUMMARY:Against Punishment - Unit 2
DESCRIPTION:Crafting Non-Punitive Responses to Harm \nWe are thrilled to share with you an invitation to Against Punishment\, a training resource created by Project Nia and Interrupting Criminalization. This abolitionist curriculum is anchored in the principle that “punishment actually undermines safety.” The second of a four-part series\, “Crafting Non-Punitive Responses to Harm” we will be thinking about the differences between accountability and punishment. What are the distinctions? It will last between 1.5 and 2 hours.\nWe hope that you will share this invitation widely\, and join us on Saturday\, March 13th\, 2021\, 10am PST\, to explore these ideas together. \n**This series will not be recorded.** \nFuture units include: April 10th Another World Is Possible\, Abolition through Storytelling; and May 8th Surviving Harm/Violence & What Would Justice Look Like? \nThis series is presented online by Lane County Mutual Aid and Neighborhood Anarchist Collective. \nCW: This unit includes discussions of violence and harm \nRegister: tinyurl.com/againstunit2 \n

SUMMARY:Solidarity Share Fair: A Really Free Market
DESCRIPTION:Events\n\n\n\n\nThe Share Fair connects people with resources\, services\, and each other in a convenient and fun way. \nThe purpose of the Share Fair is to connect people with resources\, services\, and each other in a convenient and fun way. The fair will be providing free resources and services from local organizations and community groups to unhoused and working class members of the community. There will be food\, live music\, games\, and a chance to know other Eugene organizations and folks in the community – and it’s all free! \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDonate to the Share Fair!\n\n\n\nVolunteer at Share Fair!\n\n\n\nProvide a Service!\n\n\n\n\n\nNext Share Fair Details\nTBD \n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe could use the following supplies:\n\nSeasonally appropriate clothes and accessories (T-shirts\, button-up shirts\, slacks\, sweatpants\, jeans\, hats\, socks\, shoes\, boots\, underwear)\nHygiene products (toothbrushes\, toothpaste\, pads\, tampons\, toilet paper\, deodorant\, travel-size soaps and shampoos\, Menstrual hygiene supplies)\nTents\nTarps\nSleeping bags\nSleeping mats\nBackpacks\, bags\nBoots\nBlankets\nCamping gear\nWater bottles\nFirst aid supplies\nFlashlights\nBatteries\nPocket sewing kits\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHow to Donate\nAt the Share Fair: You can bring donations to the share fair the day of the event. We'll take donations 11am - 3pm.\n\nDrop off in advance: Dark Pine Coffee (954 Pearl St). We provide music\, haircuts\, massage\, bike repair\, resume support\, first aid\, warm meals and empathy to folks who are often pushed away.  Additionally\, we offer the opportunity to speak with representatives from health care\, counseling\, and housing services. Through building connections and empowering guests to get involved and volunteer\, we are changing the dynamic of our neighborhoods. We rescue food\, clothing\, shoes\, toiletries\, backpacks\, sleeping bags/camping gear\, and much more from various locations to then redistribute to people in need. With more and more of our neighbors being effected by the housing crisis and food insecurity\, we need events such as the Share Fair now\, more than ever. \nEvents such as the share fair are necessary because capitalism is failing people. Those who don’t conform to the dominant economic model are discarded by society and the government is unable to provide the sort of care we can provide for each other. One of the principles of anarchism is that members of a community see what needs to be done and take responsibility for doing it themselves. In that spirit\, Share Fair is organized by the consensus model; no one leads or follows\, instead\, all work together toward a common goal. We hope to show that it’s possible to take action without the government and to cooperate without hierarchy while still being effective (or being more effective). \n\n\n\n\n\n\nSign up for Updates\nWant to be notified when the next Share Fair is scheduled? Sign up here for updates. Note: If you're interested in volunteering\, please fill out the volunteer form here. \n\n \n\n\n\n\n \n\n \n\n\n \nWe love feedback!\nPlease let us know how we're doing and how we could do better! \nAttendee Survey - Have you already been to the Share Fair? SUMMARY:Against Punishment
DESCRIPTION:We are thrilled to share with you an invitation to Against Punishment\, a training resource created by Project Nia and Interrupting Criminalization. SUMMARY:Introduction to "Turning Towards Each Other: A Conflict Workbook"
DESCRIPTION:Conflict is a necessary and inevitable part of living in the world\, especially when you’re someone trying to change it. Too often our change work gets stalled or shut down by poorly handled and/or avoided conflicts. We (Jovida Ross and Weyam Ghadbian) wrote the Turning Towards Each Other Conflict Workbook with the hopes of supporting people working towards social justice to build our collective conflict resilience and strengthen relationships\, movements\, and collective wellbeing. Join us for a workshop to help orient you to some of the tools in the booklet and better harvest the gifts of conflict in your lives and work!

SUMMARY:Solidarity Share Fair: A Really Free Market
