Winona LaDuke – Honor the Earth Benefit

It’s time to talk about pipelines! The Pacific Connector Pipeline & Jordan Cove Energy Project are bad for Oregon and bad for the planet! WE RESIST.

With updates & opportunities to plug-in from local pipeline resisters, Winona LaDuke will talk about the Southern Oregon pipeline & LNG terminal fight and her vital work with her organization, Honor the Earth.

The mission of Honor the Earth is to create awareness and support for Native environmental issues and to develop needed financial and political resources for the survival of sustainable Native communities.

Winona is an internationally renowned activist working on issues of sustainable development, renewable energy and food systems. She lives and works on the White Earth reservation in northern Minnesota, and is a two-time vice presidential candidate with Ralph Nader for the Green Party.

Donations: $10 – $20 sliding scale. No one turned away for lack of funds. Co-sponsored by UO Native American Studies, 350 Eugene & Community Rights Lane County.
